Over cast and cool for our day of biking. We shuttled to the starting point and were fitted with our bikes. Not much orientation on how to operate the 10-speed mountain bikes. I guess they expected everyone to know already. The plan was to bike 47 km to lunch and then, for those who wanted to continue, another 15 km to the hotel with another option to go another 12 km. By the time we got to the lunch point, only two of the 21 participants wanted to continue on. I was bringing up the rear on the ride to lunch with Stephen about a mile ahead. Unfortunately, he took a wrong turn and I actually beat him to the lunch spot. We ate lunch in a converted horse barn. It started raining just before I got to the lunch spot and continued the remainder of the afternoon.
We had an performer entertain us during lunch. She was good and a former Backroads employee.
After lunch, we were shuttled to a site near to where the Euro-Asia and North American plates are pulling apart. This is also the site of at least one of the Game of Thrones episodes was shot.
Back at the hotel, the rain subsided and there was a beautiful midnight sun and rainbow.
Tomorrow is our final day on the tour.
